To retain a new shiny look regular buffing and polishing is recommended.

Scrubbing and Wet Vacuuming
For heterogeneous floor a periodic cleaning with a polishing machine using a red pad is recommended. The floor may be mopped daily with a neutral detergent. However, for high traffic areas we recommend a light wet scrub using a brush, this is also used for most Safety Floors.

Buffing Vinyl and Terrazzo Floors
When your floor starts to look worn it is a sign that it may need to be buffed. Mopping alone will not remove scuff marks off floors. After a floor has been sealed it is highly recommended to machine buff on a regular basis depending on traffic flow in the area. Regular buffing can keep your floor looking shiny and clean and extend the wear of the sealer.

Stripping and Sealing
When your hard flooring has become scuffed and dirty, and using a polishing machine does show a change, it is time to have it stripped and sealed. We wet strip (or for melamine and other sensitive surfaces, dry strip) the floor down to its original surface, ensuring edges and corners (where machines cannot reach) are detailed manually.

Our commercial grade strippers and sealers give your vinyl and hard floors exceptional durability that extends wear, reduces marking and protects against soil penetration and abrasion, leaving floors with a superior gloss "wet look" non-slip finish. Other surfaces suitable for sealing are vinyl, terrazzo and terracotta floors.

Porcelain Tiles
It's dense, low-absorptive body inhibits the penetration of contaminants and, therefore, is a tile that is easy to maintain.

General maintenance and cleaning of porcelain tile varies depending on the surface texture and soil load. General cleaning should be performed with a neutral cleaner diluted to the manufacturer's recommendations. Non-oil, non-acidic and non-soap based cleaners should be used.

Terracotta Tiles
The one big downside to Terracotta is the fact that it has no glaze on the surface and can pick up and store muck and dirt very quickly. The answer of course is to seal them. Wax sealants tend not to soak all the way into the tile and some residue is left on the surface which overtime with traffic wear, tends to change to a darker shade whilst leaving the outside edges clean where they are not walked on as much. The best sealants to use are the water-based sealers. Water-based sealers are much thinner than solvent and acrylic sealers and therefore soak much deeper into the tile.

Your floors will look new again!
